Integration of Inner Transformation in Investing for Systems Change

At TWIST, we believe that investing for systems change is not just a set of practices but a movement that must be resourced, nurtured, and intentionally grown. Shifting capital towards transformative outcomes takes active effort, and our members take that on as their own responsibility.

But none of it holds without a parallel shift in awareness, both personal and collective. How we see, listen, and relate to ourselves and the world shapes the decisions we make and the futures we help bring into being. TWIST creates space for its community to explore how inner and outer transformation are bound up in one another, and to cultivate the self-awareness that unlocks new ways of thinking, relating, and acting. This is what makes possible the leadership and collaboration that investing for systems change asks of us.

We aim to bridge the distance between bold ideas and bold capital, accompanying investors, intermediaries, and practitioners as they design and deploy capital with integrity, purpose, and systems awareness.

”Sometimes we lose sight of a simple truth about systems: They are made up of people. Despite all of the frameworks and tools at our disposal and all of our learning as a field of practice, purely technical, rational approaches to systems change will not make much of a dent in shifting power or altering our most deeply held beliefs. If most collective impact efforts fall short of supporting people to change in fundamentally consciousness-altering ways, then, the system they are a part of will not significantly change either.”
